VPT is an independent, collaborative theatre company with a concentration on early-modern drama. We differ from other groups due to our focused, minimalist style: VPT believes that the true power of Elizabethan and Jacobean plays lies not in spectacle and effects, but in the text itself. Our aim is to discover the ways in which we can incorporate early-modern techniques (candle-light, gesture, etc) into modern performances, as well as remind our audiences why 400-year old plays are still relevant and exciting.

Our next production is John Ford's "family drama," 'Tis Pity She's a Whore.
